No. The interface has its own memory and processor. After programming the actions and times, the PC can be switched off. The interface will do the rest and works as a stand-alone device.
No. The interface also works when it is not connected to the PC. You can even plug the interface into a wall socket somewhere else. Make sure the backup battery is inserted, otherwise the interface loses its time settings.
No, the interface does not need to be connected to an earthed socket.
You can make ActiveHome Pro save the timer’s schedules and Macro Events in the CM15Pro Interface memory, so that they run even when your computer is turned off.
Absolutely. ActiveHomePro and the CM15Pro are using the Marmitek X-10 protocol.
No. The new USB Computer module (CM15Pro) has a built-in transceiver. In fact, it's a new version of transceiver that constantly monitors all 256 X-10 addresses (16 house codes and 16 units codes per house code).
X-10 can control up to 256 unique addresses (combination of 16 house codes and 16 units codes). However, each address can have an unlimited number of modules. This means you could set three lamps, with lamp modules, in the living room to use the same X-10 address and they will a respond to Marmitek ActiveHome Pro at the same time. This is particularly useful for holiday decorative lighting allowing your to control many different electrical decorations using a single X-10 command. Take a minute to count how many available outlets you have in your home, and you'll quickly realize that 256 addresses is likely adequate for almost any home situation.
Yes, you can use more than one Transceiver in your home when the range of your remotes is not sufficient. The Transceiver is using so called collision detection to prevent signals to be disturbed when more than one Transceiver is transmitting. Transceivers will wait for a quite power line before transmitting their data. To prevent your Marmitek X-10 System to become slow or to prevent dimming from becoming less smooth, make sure that the units are placed as far away from each other as possible.
Yes, this is possible. To do this, check the help file of Active Home Pro under “Getting Data from Previous Versions”
You can check the manual if the module supports extended code and/or status request. Based on this data choose the following:

No. Marmitek ActiveHomePro is designed specifically for features and advanced electronics available only in the new USB Computer Module (CM15Pro). The USB Computer Module (CM15Pro) includes RF send and receive capabilities, as well as the ability to monitor all 256 house/unit codes at the same time, and 800% more memory.
Yes. This is actually one of the key improvements that makes Marmitek ActiveHomePro more responsive. It will receive a command directly from your RF remote and start sending the X-10 macro commands. This saves the time it used to take by receiving the command first at a transceiver then passing that command K the power line to the CM11E module. You'll see a definite improvement in how fast your lighting scenes come alive.

The battery in the CM15Pro keeps the internal clock running when the CM15Pro is not connected to the mains.
So when the CM15Pro is always connected to the mains, the battery is not nessesary.
But always keep in mind, that you connect the USB cable before you connect the CM15Pro to the mains.
Otherwise it is possible that the CM15Pro is not recognized by the computer.

This is normal. Only lamp modules will respond to the command ‘All Lights On’. This is to prevent that e.g. the coffee machine is activated in case of an alarm. The command ‘All Units Off’ is recognised by all device modules.

In ActiveHomePro, in Tools, you can click on Hardware configuration.
Right underneath, you can see for which house codes the RF signal must be converted to PLC (must be transferred to the lighting net). If the house codes used are not checked, set this to Specific and check the house codes that you want the CM15Pro to convert to PLC.
