The AW12 MicroModule is an extremely small Marmitek X-10 appliance module which can be fitted behind any installed switch or outlet. The lights and appliances connected to the AW12 can be controlled by the Marmitek X-10 system. You will be able to use your switch in the normal way. The AW12 uses one-way X-10 communication.

Yes, you can use more than one Transceiver in your home when the range of your remotes is not sufficient. The Transceiver is using so called collision detection to prevent signals to be disturbed when more than one Transceiver is transmitting. Transceivers will wait for a quite power line before transmitting their data. To prevent your Marmitek X-10 System to become slow or to prevent dimming from becoming less smooth, make sure that the units are placed as far away from each other as possible.
In connection with heat development, it is not permitted for numerous MicroModules to be used in ONE wall outlet.

LED lighting can be controlled by all X-10 receivers, except the AM12 (this is equipped with an autosense function. LEDs continue to be slightly illuminated because of the autosense current.) and the LW12.
LEDs cannot be controlled by the dimmer modules if their total power falls under the minimum load of the relevant module.
Low voltage LEDs (which are controlled via a transformer) and 230V LEDs which often have internal capacitive conversion to low voltage must also be taken into account. These influence the strength of the X-10 signal and can, therefore, cause interruption to the lighting network. In practice, the LED lighting can usually be switched on but cannot be switched off. This can be solved by using an additional FM10 or FD10 module.
The module will retain the same position until it gets a command to change position. If the module was in the ON position, it will return to the ON position after a power failure.
Because the MicroModules are so small, they heat up quicker than the ‘larger’ Marmitek HomeAutomation components. This is not a problem.

This is normal. Only lamp modules will respond to the command ‘All Lights On’. This is to prevent that e.g. the coffee machine is activated in case of an alarm. The command ‘All Units Off’ is recognised by all device modules.
