Modules before production series 04Dxx and after 07D14 are equipped with a so called auto-sense function, what makes that the module can be switched ON with the switch in the power cord. The module cannot be switched OFF with this.
Phase (brown), Neutral (blue) and Load (black).
Yes, you can use more than one Transceiver in your home when the range of your remotes is not sufficient. The Transceiver is using so called collision detection to prevent signals to be disturbed when more than one Transceiver is transmitting. Transceivers will wait for a quite power line before transmitting their data. To prevent your Marmitek X-10 System to become slow or to prevent dimming from becoming less smooth, make sure that the units are placed as far away from each other as possible.

Marmitek has products in its range for all 230V countries. As different European countries use different plug types, the lamp modules are available in different versions. The G (German) stands for rim earth (The Netherlands and Germany), the F (French) for pin earth (France and Belgium). The W stands for the modules that are not fitted with a plug (for fitting the modules behind modular ceilings).
Yes, the lamp module can also be controlled manually. Quickly turn off the connected load switch and then turn it back on.
The LM12 is specifically made for normal light bulbs. Some halogen lighting with coiled transformers can be dimmed with the LM12. In reality you will have to test this by connecting the lamp to the LM12. If the lamp starts to flicker or if it does not dim gradually, then the halogen lamp is not suitable to be controlled with the LM12. In that case you can use a dimmer that is suitable for halogen lighting, such as the LD11, the LW11 or the LWM1. You can also use a appliance module, but then it is not possible to dim the lamp. 230V Halogen lighting can be dimmed with the LM12.
LED lighting can be controlled by all X-10 receivers, except the AM12 (this is equipped with an autosense function. LEDs continue to be slightly illuminated because of the autosense current.) and the LW12.
LEDs cannot be controlled by the dimmer modules if their total power falls under the minimum load of the relevant module.
Low voltage LEDs (which are controlled via a transformer) and 230V LEDs which often have internal capacitive conversion to low voltage must also be taken into account. These influence the strength of the X-10 signal and can, therefore, cause interruption to the lighting network. In practice, the LED lighting can usually be switched on but cannot be switched off. This can be solved by using an additional FM10 or FD10 module.
