How does it work?
You install the small doorbell camera onto the doorframe and connect the wires. As soon as a visitor rings your doorbell, the picture will get displayed on the home monitor. This way you see who is at the door before you open it (or pretend you’re not at home). To speak to the caller, you simply press on the speech button. If you have also installed an electric door opener, you can open the door with the help of the monitor. If you have installed more monitors (optionally available) at home (maximum 3 extra), then you can also talk among each other (intercom).

From the main monitor you go to the extra monitor with a 2 wire connection:
- L+ on the main monitor must be connected with L+ on the extra monitor.
- L- on the main monitor must be connected with L- on the extra monitor.

The monitor of the DoorGuard is provided with a potential-free contact, to connect a door lock (NO – normally open). A door lock should therefore be provided with its own power supply. The maximal load is DC24V/1A of AC24V/1A.
Yes, this is possible. However the image on the DG400 extra monitor will be B/W, because the DG300 has a B/W camera.
The electric door lock should be in series with the power supply on the L+ and L- connections. The L+ and L- connections are only switch contacts and do not power your electric door lock.
- Up till a cable-length of 25 meters, you can use a 4 core cable of minimum 4x 0.55mm2.
- For cable-lengths of 25~50 meters, you need to use a coax cable, 75 ohms of 0.5mm2 (R1 and R2) for the video signal.
- For cable-lengths of 50~100 meters, use a 75 ohms coax cable of minimum 1.0mm2.
- For cable-lengths of 100~300 meters, use a 75 ohms coax cable of minimum 1.5mm2.
There is no coax cable required for the audio signal, and a 2 core cable is sufficient.

Yes, you can. Also from the extra monitors you have full function.
The button for the door opener only works if you also have a picture from the camera. If the camera is still switched off, the button will not work. This is to prevent that you open your front door by accident.
To check this, the red LED besides the button will always flash if you open the front door by pressing the button. If the camera is not switched on, the LED will not be activated by pressing the button for the door opener.
