What is DVB-T?
DVB (Digital Video Broadcasting) is a European standard for the digital transmission of radio stations and television channels. Most European countries broadcast free-to-air channels via DVB-T (Terrestrial).
How does FreeTV200 work?
After installing the software, insert the USB stick in a USB 2.0 port on your PC or laptop. Position the mini antenna so that you can receive signals. With the supplied Cyberlink PowerCinema 4 software and compact remote control, you can search for TV channels and watch your favourite programmes. The time-shift function enables you to pause live programmes so you can watch them later. You can also record your favourite TV programmes on your computer's hard disk.

Using the FreeTV200 under Windows Vista can be done very easily. However, it is important that you comply exactly with the steps described here below. You shall install only the driver for the FreeTV200, and use your Windows Media Centre to watch TV and record it.
Tip: before commencing with the installation of the FreeTV200 driver, create a restore point in ‘System restore’. That way, if necessary, you can always return to the computer settings that existed before the installation of the driver. Follow this procedure to get to the ‘System restore’ wizard: click on ‘Start’, then on ‘Computer’, ‘System properties’ and after that on ‘System protection’. Now click on ‘Create’. Consult Windows ‘Help and support’ first, regarding information about how to use ‘System restore’.

Don not install any other programs from the CD, these are meant only for XP users; not required for Vista. You shall use the Windows Media Centre under Vista for viewing and recoding TV transmissions. When using Windows Vista, you need to use the Media Centre remote control, not the additionally supplied remote control.

No, FreeTV200 only works with so-called free-to-air channels. Channels which are encrypted or which require a smart-card cannot be received.
