Do not remove any of the LEDs. You can, however, attach the unused LED to the bottom or back of the device.
The cable is 3m long. It is best not to extend this cable.
The StereoControl has two transmitter LEDs for a maximum of two devices.
Yes, it works with all devices that use an infrared remote control. A VCR in a locked cupboard can be controlled.
Check the following:
- Is the battery inserted properly?
- Normally the StereoControl is on standby to save battery power. By pressing a key on your remote within 50 cm of the receiver, you switch on the StereoControl. A red light will flash on the receiver to indicate the device is turned on.
- After turning on the StereoControl, it has a sensitivity range of 4-8 m with an opening angle of 30 degrees. This depends on which remote control you use.
- The StereoControl does not work with Bang&Olufsen equipment (B&O).
- In some cases the receiver can suffer from interference (e.g. direct sunlight, IR alarm, tube lights, energy-saving lamps). In that case you can move the receiver to a place where the reception is better.
