How does the IR Control 8™ work?
Locate your A/V equipment in a closed cupboard, TV cabinet or even in another room. The IR receiver must be installed in view of your own remote control. This new, updated IR receiver can even be placed in the vicinity of your Flat Screen (Plasma, LCD or LED screen). Stick the IR LEDs onto the front panel of your A/V equipment and place the IR main module out of sight. Point the remote control at the IR receiver in order to send the appropriate command to the IR LEDs (via the IR main module). These will then immediately pass this onto the A/V equipment.
You can use an extra IR Receiver to operate your A/V equipment from another room.

If the LED does turn red, then you should check the following points:
Has the LED been installed at the right place? Sometimes it is difficult to determine at which spot exactly, the infrared receiver of your device is situated. Sometimes you can determine this by pointing your remote control at the device. The infrared receiver must be in the area where the LED lights up.
Has the connector plug been inserted deep enough?
Is the original attachment-tape still on the backside of the infrared eyes? This is a special infrared-permeable tape. By replacing it with a standard attachment-tape, it may possibly stop working.
