That is correct. Only lamp modules will respond to the command ‘All Lights On.’ This is to prevent events such as the coffee machine being turned on by accident. Appliance modules do respond to the command ‘All Units Off’.
Yes. The modules work with both earthed and non-earthed wall sockets.
Modules before production series 04Dxx and after 07D14 are equipped with a so called auto-sense function, what makes that the module can be switched ON with the switch in the power cord. The module cannot be switched OFF with this.
Yes, you can use more than one TM13 Transceiver in your home when the range of your remotes is not sufficient. The TM13 is using so called collision detection to prevent signals to be disturbed when more than one TM13 is transmitting. TM13’s will wait for a quite power line before transmitting their data. To prevent your Marmitek X-10 System to become slow or to prevent dimming from becoming less smooth, make sure that the TM13 units are placed as far away from each other as possible.

Marmitek has products in its range for all 230V countries. As different European countries use different plug types, the lamp modules are available in different versions. The G (German) stands for rim earth (The Netherlands and Germany), the F (French) for pin earth (France and Belgium). The W stands for the modules that are not fitted with a plug (for fitting the modules behind modular ceilings).
AM12 modules from production code 04Dxx are suitable for use with energy saving light bulbs and sirens.
Ohm loads: 3600 Watt.
Inductive or capacitive loads: 230 Watt.
Light bulbs and halogen lighting: 500 Watt.
Yes, the AM12W
LED lighting can be controlled by all X-10 receivers, except the AM12 (this is equipped with an autosense function. LEDs continue to be slightly illuminated because of the autosense current.) and the LW12.
LEDs cannot be controlled by the dimmer modules if their total power falls under the minimum load of the relevant module.
Low voltage LEDs (which are controlled via a transformer) and 230V LEDs which often have internal capacitive conversion to low voltage must also be taken into account. These influence the strength of the X-10 signal and can, therefore, cause interruption to the lighting network. In practice, the LED lighting can usually be switched on but cannot be switched off. This can be solved by using an additional FM10 or FD10 module.
The module will retain the same position until it gets a command to change position. If the module was in the ON position, it will return to the ON position after a power failure.

This is normal. Only lamp modules will respond to the command ‘All Lights On’. This is to prevent that e.g. the coffee machine is activated in case of an alarm. The command ‘All Units Off’ is recognised by all device modules.
