How does the GSMguard300 work?
Place the GSMguard300 Unit in a convenient location in your home (or storage area, vacation home, garage, etc.). The alarm system is powered by the mains supply that is included or 9 Volts. Place a SIM card (not included) in the control unit. Attach the door/window sensors and monitor the provided siren (if desired). Once installed, you can use the GSMguard300 as a normal alarm system. In the event of an alarm, you receive an SMS. You can also test the alarm, temporarily deactivate the alarm or request a status report by sending an SMS. Extra wireless door/window sensors are available separately.

This could be due to the location of the central control panel in the building.
Because the system uses radio frequencies to communicate you need to take certain precautions.
Do not locate the equipment in areas that are colder than -10ºC. This is because cold temperatures reduce the battery’s capacity.
Do not locate the control panel near radio equipment (approx. 3 m.), particularly wireless telephones that use DECT technology. This type of technology can disrupt the radio signal.
Do not locate the control panel near a TV. rnPlace the main control panel in a central position with respect to your sensors.
Be aware of the fact that the radio signal can be significantly affected by other materials and equipment and position your equipment accordingly.
Metal heating ducts can significantly affect the radio signal between walls and floors.
In particular, thick brick walls and walls made of reinforced concrete or metal can affect the signal.
Avoid locating the central control panel and receivers close to such materials.
Press “Setup” and select 2 (2: TIME). rnPress the upward arrow 4x: “Relay Time”. This is used to set the ON time for the relay. The ON time can be set to a value between 0.1 minutes to 99.9 minutes. (E.g.: RELAY – TIME 20.3. The relay stays ON for 20.3 minutes.)
To save all settings: press the “Setup” button and select 4 (4: SAVE). A message will be displayed as follows:

No, GSMGuard 300 continues to function even when one or more sensors are turned off. When you are present on location you can alarm specific areas only by turning on the sensors in these areas and leaving the sensors in other areas turned off.
GSMGuard 300 is precisely intended for locations that do not have access to fixed telephone landlines. The system uses GSM technology. A telephone line is therefore not required.

No, the central control panel normally uses the 230V electrical power supply. However, the system does remember the on/off status of the SMS and/or Buzzer prior to the power outage when the power comes back on. The sensors operate on batteries and are therefore not affected by any power outage.
